How Do Toilets Work?
"Where does everything go when you flush?"
💡 Simple Explanation
Toilets use a clever water trick called a siphon! When you flush, lots of water rushes in and fills the bowl. This water goes up and over a hidden hill in the pipe. Once water starts flowing over that hill, it creates a sucking force that pulls everything in the bowl down the drain - like when you slurp the last bit of a drink through a straw! The water then travels through pipes to a place that cleans it up.
🎉 Fun Fact!
Before modern toilets, people used chamber pots they kept under their beds. Yuck!
