How Do Airplanes Fly?
"How does something so heavy stay up in the air?"
💡 Simple Explanation
Airplane wings are shaped like a magic trick! The top is curved and the bottom is flat. When the plane zooms forward, air rushes over and under the wings. Air going over the curved top has to travel farther, so it spreads out and pushes less. The air under the flat bottom pushes harder. This uneven push is called lift, and it's strong enough to hold up the whole airplane! The engines push the plane forward fast enough to keep the magic working.
🎉 Fun Fact!
A Boeing 747 has more than 6 million parts, and half of them are fasteners like screws and rivets!
