What Is Sound?
"How do we hear things?"
💡 Simple Explanation
When something makes a noise, it shakes the air around it - like throwing a pebble in a pond makes ripples. These invisible ripples travel through the air until they reach your ears. Inside your ears are tiny drums that wiggle when the ripples hit them. Your brain figures out what the wiggles mean and tells you 'That's a dog barking!' or 'That's music!'
🎉 Fun Fact!
In space, no one can hear you because there's no air to carry the sound ripples!
